Headliners Conventions are a 1-Day, affordable dance convention with classes taught by some of the best dance educators in the industry, offering both east and west coast vibes! The Headliners experience is designed to enhance studio training and combine it with industry expertise. Our priority is offering your dancers a one-of-a-kind dance experience in an encouraging, fun, and creative environment.

Gene Biscontini - Musical Theater
He is a 5-time National Dance Champion and Title Winner. Gene began his professional career at the age of 7, starring in the original Off-Broadway cast of the show “People Garden”. He has performed in the Broadway National Tours of “Seussical” and “Oliver” as well as “Sarah, Plain and Tall” in NYC. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Point Park University as well as a physical therapy degree from Lackawanna College. His latest creative endeavor was as RWS Global Talent and Holland America Cruise Line’s Resident Director for their Grand & World Voyages, teaching, directing and installing 22 different shoes over the last two years!

Thomas Russ - Commercial Hip Hop
Based in Virginia, his training encompasses a wide variety of dance forms including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Musical Theater. Performance credits include being the first ever male member of the Georgia Tech Goldrush, the official dance team of Georgia Tech Athletics, where Thomas led and performed pom, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and lyrical genres at local, regional and national venues and events. Thomas has choreographed for studios all across the USA which have earned overall accolades, as well as Best Choreography awards. Prior to moving to Virginia, he taught Hip Hop at New Mexico Ballet Company, was Coach and choreographer for Albuquerque Dance Collaborative competitive dance team, Head Coach for Saint Pius X High School Dance Team, a.k.a. the Dorados, Lead Coach for the Citizen Church’s Fine Arts Program and was Choreographer & Head Coach for the Urban Troupe Dance Team (Hip Hop); 2017 – 2021. In addition to his dance credits, Thomas holds a BS degree in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Global Development from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Joseph Armon Boyd - Improv/Technique
Based in South Carolina, Joseph is dedicated to dance performance, choreography, and instruction. Trained as a competitive dancer, he has trained in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, and Contemporary. Joseph graduated from the University of South Carolina earning a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Education. Currently, Joseph is an instructor and choreographer working with a competition team. As an instructor, Joseph believes that it is vital to not only prepare young dancers for the stage, but also for life. Joseph’s performance credits include the University of South Carolina Dance Company, Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show, UNBOUND Dance Company, and StepAfrika!’s Black History Month National Tour.

Monica Delehanty - Jazz
Born and raised right outside of New York City, Monica started training in dance at age 3. She danced competitively for AEDE where she was taught by retired Broadway performers such as Anita Ehrler and Frank Mastrocola. Monica won 1st place in numerous regional and national competitions. Monica went on to train at The Joffrey Ballet School in NYC at their Jazz & Contemporary Trainee Program, and at Broadway Dance Center and became a member of Team Capezio. Monica moved to Los Angeles to follow her career in Commercial Dance and attended Studio School LA for two years. She taught for MSA On Tour as well as being selected to train with Cirque Du Soleil. She recently became the official choreographer for Capezio where she has worked with dancers such as Lacey Schwimmer, Adrienne Caterna, Kayla Mak and Eureka. You can find Monica dancing and choreographing with Go2 Talent Agency & NYMMG.

Miranda Hannon - “Alien” - Contemporary Fusion
She is currently teaching ballet, technique, contemporary, jazz and strength and conditioning to young dancers in the New York & New Jersey area. Her extensive training has included 18 years of ballet, 15 years of jazz, 6 years of tap, 7 years of acro, 6 years of hip hop and 9 years of modern. She was a guest adjudicator and solo performer at World of Dance, featured choreographer for Project CREATE festival in Brooklyn and is co-director of Art of Movement Collective touring nationwide. Miranda was a BFA dance major at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and BFA Dance Major with a concentration in Jazz and Contemporary at the Joffrey Ballet School.

Erika George - Floorwork/Contemporary
Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She began dancing at the age of two, teaching at the age of 14, and started choreographing at the age of 16. Erika has trained under various dancers and choreographers, including Marty Kudelka, Matt Aylward, Nick Bass, Ivan Koumaev, Maddi Burg, Matt Luck, Chelsea Thedinga, Jenn Freeman, Matthew Kazmierczak, and Morgan Burke. Erika has been involved in projects under the direction of Andrew Winghart, Codie Wiggins, & Liz Imperio. She recently graduated from the CLI Conservatory under the direction of Teddy Forance. She is signed with MSA. Erika continues to train and educate herself so she can better train and educate the next generation of dancers.

Martina Higgins - Nutrition
We are additionally excited to be adding a NEW WORKSHOP for Junior & Senior Dancers in select cities. Dance Nutrition with Martina Higgs, MS, RD, LDN. Levels/Placement
Placement of the dancers is at the discretion of the studio director and teachers. Suggested levels, based on age:
Mini – 9 & Under
Junior – 10-12
Teen/Senior – 13 & Over
Scholarships
Dancers selected by Instructors can earn scholarships to competitions, conventions, and Nationals – as well as scholarships to Conservatories and Nationally-known Intensives.
Registration
Independent dancers are welcome to attend!
Please note, registration must be completed online. Day-of-event registration will be at the discretion of Headliners. Any registration changes and/or add-ons must be made the Wednesday prior to the event.
Payments must be via credit card, bank check, or studio check.
No refunds will be issued once an event has started. Refund requests, prior to an event, will be issued only at the discretion of Headliners. Be sure to contact us as soon as possible with any questions or concerns at info@headlinersdance.com.
Free Entry for Studio Directors/Teachers
Studios can earn one free Teacher Registration with every 10 paid students. Directors/teachers may watch or participate in any of the classes.
Redeeming of Scholarships
To apply a scholarship earned at a previous Headliners event, please email a photo of the scholarship at least 10 days prior to the event you are attending. Emails should be sent to info@headlinersdance.com.
Observer Bands
Parents of registered dancers are able to observe classes throughout the day if they have purchased an observer band. Observer bands can be purchased during online registration or upon arriving at the event.
Fees
Fees are available to studios only through our online registration portal.
