Process to become a Judge

There is a 4-step process to become a Judge with Headliners:

Complete the judge application Submit a Bio and Headshot Submit a resume highlighting training and teaching experience View and critique a minimum of 5 routines provided by Headliners of different levels and styles of dance.

Critiques are reviewed by our CEO, Shari Tomasiello, to ensure they not only provide corrections but also find balance between constructive criticism and positive reinforcement.

HEADLINERS JUDGES

A Texas native, Alexa grew up in the competitive dance world training in all styles of the art. She traveled all over the country with Tremaine Dance Conventions and Competitions as part of the apprentice program. Growing up, she spent most of her summers in Los Angeles, California training in all styles of dance. She has now dedicated her career to thriving and growing as a teacher to over 200 weekly students.

AMANDA DRAGANI is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, adjudicator and media creator located in the Boston area. She grew up immersed in the competition circuit and graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance concentrating in Dance & Media. While at Marymount, Amanda studied under Nancy Lushington, Alberto Del Saz, and Francois Pender in a variety of styles, with tap as her main focus. She also was able to vigorously train at both Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway with various professionals including: Keenan Cooks, Chio, Ryan Daniel Beck, Charles Renato, Sarah Reich, and Derick Grant. Upon graduating, Amanda began teaching both recreational and competitive dancers in the New England area as well as touring nationwide with dance competitions. Outside her competition-based work, Amanda coordinates social media and marketing for dance-related businesses. Most recently, she has become a member of Drumatix Tap Company and performs at events coordinated throughout New England.

CHELARRIE GOLDSBY Entertainer, Instructor and Choreographer from the city of Detroit. Chelarrie is known for her versatility and training in all forms of dance. She has performed as Clara at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, at Showboat, The Harlem Nutcracker and The Wizard of Oz. In addition to competitive dance and performing she is a regional champion in the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympics. For over 20 years Chelarrie has worked with dancers of all ages and levels and currently teaches ages 5 through adult in tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical and acro. She has also had the opportunity to perform with Flo Rida and TLC.

Originally from the SF Bay area, Charli has been dancing since the age of 4. Since moving to Los Angeles she has trained at Debbie Allen Dance Academy learning different styles, however Charli has excelled in tap and hip hop. She has been teaching since the age of 16 and is currently the head hip hop coach at Calabasas High School for the last 8 years. She has built the tap and hip hop programs at Elite Dance Center in Los Angeles as well as competitively choreographed for the past 8 seasons winning at various competitions. Since graduating from CHAMPS high school in 2012 she has been a part of multiple dance productions, music videos and worked for artists such as Lizzo, and Wowashwow and Megan the Stallion .Currently Charli can be seen in commercials such as Old Navy, Total Wireless, Flamin’ HotCheetos, Nordstrom Rack and HERS! She is a representative for the Plus Size dance and modeling community and has been included in various projects for Fitbit, Google pixel, theGirlfriend Collective and Thinx!

CODY WHEAT is originally from Utica, New York where he started dancing at the age of 15. He competed on both regional and national levels and furthered his training at Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute with a focus in Ballet, Jazz and Tap. During his training he performed in numerous productions and then went on to teach for many dance studios in the area winning numerous choreography awards for his creative and innovative pieces of work. Cody performed with Celebrity Cruise Lines for 4 years as a Production Dancer and Dance Captain touring all over Europe the Mediterranean the Caribbean and Alaska, eventually becoming the rehearsal director. Cody spent 6 months in London, England where he trained extensively at Pineapple Dance Studio in all styles of dance and also at The Place Dance Studio with a focus in Ballet and Modern. Cody furthered his career as a choreographer for Mike Malony Entertainment producing shows for Celebrity Cruises, and as a dancer and dance captain for Jersey Rocks at the Snoqualmi Casino in Seattle Washington. He was also a dancer for Spirit productions performing at Casinos in Niagara Falls in shows such as Rocket Man, Dancing Queen and The Spirit of Christmas. He is a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor and has taught all levels, participated in the work study program at Broadway Dance Center in NY and was a company member of the modern dance company ANAHATA. Teaching experience includes instructor and Artistic Director at Empire of the Performing Arts in NJ, the intro to dance and dance creative movement teacher at K.I.P.P NYC College Prep for 7 years, and the varsity cheer coach for a nationally ranked team.

Mr. Dan has retired to the Cape Coral, Florida area after a thriving 35-year career in the Dance Competition Industry. Dan has taught, judged for, and owned a National Dance Competition (Dancers Inc.) for almost 20 years. He is currently loving the retired life and working with the talented teachers and dancers at Melody Lane PAC, and traveling the country with his favorite friends who own Dance Competitions as a Judge. Dan started his performing career at age 7, created a pilot program for the New Jersey School for the Deaf teaching rhythm through sound vibrations in tap shoes and has a double degree from Emerson college in Public Relations/ Advertising and Developmental Psychology, and a Minor in Musical Theater and Performance.

Based in Michigan, Deanna began her early training locally and continued working with such master teachers as Al Gilbert, Gus Giordano, Greg Russell, Joe Tremaine, Doug Caldwell and Laurie Johnson. Specializing in Tap, Acro and Jazz, her training also includes a strong Cecchetti ballet syllabus. Deanna is also a highly trained gymnast earning 10th all around in the state of Michigan and 7th all around in the Junior Olympics elite team. Deanna was a professional dancer and model for many years with the Jack Reed agency performing with such legends as Tom Jones, and with companies such as General Motors Corporation, Ford Motor Company, and for TV Guide. She also ran a weekly TV show through a local cable station teaching tap from beginner to advanced levels. Deanna’s real passion is teaching. She teaches all levels from age 3 to 18, from recreational to pre-professional. Her students have been recognized and awarded regionally and nationally, and many have gone on to achieve professional success performing at venues nationwide such as at Disney World and in Las Vegas. Deanna’s two studios are currently owned and operated by former students.

EMMA KRAUSS a Virginia native, Emma grew up in love with the world of dance, and winning awards throughout her youth at various dance competitions. Her first audition was for The Governor’s School for the Arts where she attended high school. In 2006, Emma migrated to Philadelphia, graduating with honors and earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the dance program at The University of the Arts. While in her senior year, Emma signed with MSA Talent agency and eventually moved to NYC to pursue her career. Emma landed performances with the likes of Neyo, Dr. OZ show, Nicole Fosse, and The Verdon Fosse Estate. She continued her dance education when she was asked to join the Jacobs Pillow musical theatre summer intensive, working closely with Chet Walker (Fosse dancer, choreographer of Tony Award winning Pippin) and guest choreographers AC Ciulla (Footloose movie), and Andy Gale. Emma eventually moved to Los Angeles backed up by Go2Talent Agency. Her professional credits include The Ellen Show, Erin Condren spring promo video, Pose FX, Listen Up! Movie trailer. In addition to pursuing performance opportunities, Emma currently teaches dance in the Los Angeles area, and dabbles in the fitness world as a Lagree Fitness instructor. Emma is excited to be to judge for Headliners, a competition she competed in as a young dancer.

ERIKA GEORGE was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She began dancing at the age of two, teaching at the age of 14, and started choreographing at the age of 16. Erika has trained under various dancers and choreographers, including Marty Kudelka, Matt Aylward, Nick Bass, Ivan Koumaev, Maddi Burg, Matt Luck, Chelsea Thedinga, Jenn Freeman, Matthew Kazmierczak, and Morgan Burke. Erika has been involved in projects under the direction of Andrew Winghart, Codie Wiggins, & Liz Imperio. She recently graduated from the CLI Conservatory under the direction of Teddy Forance. She is signed with MSA. Erika continues to train and educate herself so she can better train and educate the next generation of dancers.

Gene grew up in his mother’s studio and during his teenage years taught recreational and competitive students ages 3-10. Currently, he teaches all ages and levels, anywhere from a beginner at age 3 to professional level 18+. Gene is an all-around dancer and prides himself as being able to teach or perform any style of dance necessary. He is a 5-time National Dance Champion and Title Winner. Gene began his professional career at the age of 7, starring in the original Off-Broadway cast of the show “People Garden”. He has performed in the Broadway National Tours of “Seussical” and “Oliver” as well as “Sarah, Plain and Tall” in NYC. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Point Park University as well as a physical therapy degree from Lackawanna College.

An accomplished dance educator and choreographer with a B.A. in Dance Education from Montclair State University. Middle school dance teacher with expertise in fostering inclusivity and compassion in the studio, and classroom. Certified to teach dance in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. Regional and national title-holding choreographer. Award-winning choreographer in the novice, intermediate and advanced performance levels. Currently on staff at a dance studio in New Jersey where her classes focus on proper placement, strength, endurance, flexibility and stamina in various ways. While trained in all forms of dance Gianna considers her specialties to be Ballet, Lyrical/Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip-Hop styles. Dance experience includes Varsity Nationals MSU Dance Team, KM Dance Collective, Padierna Dance Project and guest dancer for Nitrogen: Taylor Wickham.

HOLLY GANNETT is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo with a B.F.A. in Dance. Holly began her dance training in Maine and with Andrei Bossov of the Kirov Ballet. While in college, Holly was offered a job performing with Busch Gardens which she declined in order to finish her schooling. She became employed at the Central Wisconsin School of Ballet where she was hired to expand and develop the professional ballet school’s jazz, tap, and musical theatre programs. Holly’s performance and choreography credits include: Dance Captain for the US premier of Fame Forever, Carmen Diaz in Fame, Ariel Moore in Footloose, Mersister in The Little Mermaid, Marge in Suds, June (Squish) in Chicago, Adelaide in Guys & Dolls, as well as ensemble roles in Cabaret, Oklahoma, Little Shop of Horrors, West Side Story, Man of La Mancha, Working, and Mrs. Greer in Annie. She is on the board of Directors with the Maine Dance Teachers Club and the former Dance Director at Maine Arts Academy where she created the dance curriculum for the school, Maine’s first performing arts high school.

Choreographer, teacher, and dancer. Idrissa began dancing at the age of 3 studying at many institutions including the Alvin Ailey school and Boston Youth Moves (Jeanette Neil Studio). She was also fortunate to attend Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA where she was a dance major with a concentration in jazz. Idrissa has trained in many other styles such as ballet, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, musical theater, heels, ballroom, and modern. While in Pittsburgh Idrissa made the decision to become a full time teacher and has taught at several dance studios in Central Massachusetts. Throughout Idrissa’s dance career she was afforded many opportunities which included performing in Disney World with the United States dance team and assisting some of the industries most talented dancers; Alex Wong, Lauren Froderman, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, Brandon Bryant, Allison Holker, Kent Boyd, Joshua Allen, and many others; all alumni from the television series, “So You Think You Can Dance”.

Based in South Carolina, Joseph is dedicated to dance performance, choreography, and instruction. Trained as a competitive dancer, he has trained in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, and Contemporary. Joseph graduated from the University of South Carolina earning a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Education. Currently, Joseph is an instructor and choreographer working with a competition team. As an instructor, Joseph believes that it is vital to not only prepare young dancers for the stage, but also for life. Joseph’s performance credits include the University of South Carolina Dance Company, Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show, UNBOUND Dance Company, and StepAfrika!’s Black History Month National Tour.

Growing up a competitive dancer, Kerstin began dancing at age 5 earning numerous awards, titles and scholarships. She has performed at festivals, at Walt Disney World, for the West Point Cadets, the NYS Special Olympics and was a Radio Disney Player performer. She has studied under Mignon Furman of the American Academy of Ballet and spent the last 14 years sharing her expertise through her teaching and choreography which has been recognized regionally and nationally. Currently as co-director of a dance studio she provides her students with training in all areas of dance – ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, tumbling and leaps and turns. Aside from dance, Kerstin holds a degree in social work and is a certified NYS teacher assistant.

LAUREN MEDICO is a professional performing artist with 25+ years of dance training which includes certification programs and classes with Gina Malsky-Prokop (Pittsburgh Ballet), Trinette Singleton (Joffrey Ballet – The Cecchetti Method), Rapheal Cooper (Miami City Ballet), Barbara Weisberger (Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet – The Balanchine Method), NAPE Broadway Theatre and Dance Company, Linn Mariana (Cats, Broadway), Jamie Verazin & Mark Stuart (Mark Stuart Dance Company), Andrew Buleza (former principal dancer of the Tambu-ritzans Folk Ensemble), and multiple other instructors (Walnut Hill Conservatory, Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, Broadway Dance Center). Lauren made her Broadway debut in 2000 in “The Nutcracker” and again in 2001 in “Cinderella” alongside Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”. Additional professional theatre credits include: Ensemble in Rent, Miss Saigon, Mamma Mia and 42nd Street, and Ensemble Dancer and Lead Stage Show Character (Belle, Little Mermaid) at Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. After college, Lauren continued working as a professional dancer in guest artist roles, commercial dancing jobs and backup dancing contracts for recording artists Lenny Kravitz, Bruno Mars and Lillian Garcia. From 2011-2014, Lauren was an NFL Cheerleader and co-captain for the New York Jets. She then became an alumni ambassador for the team and is still an assistant trainer for rookie candidates. Currently, Lauren is the assistant director for The Dance Theatre of Wilkes-Barre, heads the dance program of The Performing Arts Training Academy in Pennsylvania, and is an adjunct dance professor at Marywood University. When not teaching, Lauren is a Director of Sales for Discount Dance Supply.

Originally from St Louis, Matthew currently lives in the NYC area and has found a new joy in teaching and judging. He has taught in several studios across the tri-state area, as well as judged for several national dance competitions. Performance credits include: National Tour of Dirty Dancing, and West Side Story at Music Theatre Wichita, . Performances at the Lyric Theatre OKC include: Bye Bye Birdie, 42nd Street, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Hello Dolly. Matt also performed at the Christmas Show with the OKC Philharmonic, in the musical Holiday Inn at MUNY St Louis and as a dancer on Norwegian Cruise Lines. He graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from the University of Oklahoma where he trained not only in dance, but in acting and voice.

MAX VASAPOLI, M.Ed is a graduate and former staff member of the Brind School of Theater Arts at The University of the Arts and currently serves as an Academic Advisor for High School Programs at The University of Pennsylvania. He is an experienced adjudicator and educator entering his seventh competition season, having adjudicated dancers across the US and Canada for a multitude of competitions. Max adjudicated the Season 8 Finale of Lifetime’s Dance Moms and consulted the Wilma Theatre’s production of Pulitzer Prize-finalist, Dance Nation. He was a founding member of North Shore Music Theatre’s Youth Performance Academy, danced competitively throughout high school, and was awarded a Promising Artist Award to attend The University of the Arts. While pursuing his BFA in Musical Theater, Max taught with companies like Wakefield Repertory Theatre, Stoneham Theatre, Appel Farm Arts Center, and Arthur Murray Dance Studios. Since 2008, Max has performed and taught with Opera Philadelphia where he has been seen in the Opera On The Mall broadcasts of Carmen, The Barber of Seville, the Pulitzer Prize-winning opera Silent Night, and on news segments like CBS Philly’s Love the Arts in Philadelphia, 6ABC Loves The Arts, and WHYY’s Friday Arts. Max worked alongside Cirque du Soleil’s international tour of Totem in Camden, NJ and his guest speaking credits include The Arden Theatre Company, Temple University, Villanova University, ArtsTechNJ, and Theatre Communications Group. He has been profiled as an Emerging Arts Leader by the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, named a Connector and Keeper by LEADERSHIP Philadelphia, and completed his master’s degree in education from the Professional Institute for Educators at The University of the Arts.

Born and raised right outside of New York City, Monica started training in dance at age 3. She danced competitively for AEDE where she was taught by retired Broadway performers such as Anita Ehrler and Frank Mastrocola. Monica won 1st place in numerous regional and national competitions, as well as being named Dancer’s Inc.’s “Dancer of the Year”. She also was Onstage New York’s Top Scoring Senior soloist. Monica went on to train at The Joffrey Ballet School in NYC at their Jazz & Contemporary Trainee Program, and at Broadway Dance Center and became a member of Team Capezio. Monica moved to Los Angeles to follow her career in Commercial Dance and attended Studio School LA for two years. She taught for MSA On Tour as well as being selected to train with Cirque Du Soleil. She recently became the official choreographer for Capezio where she has worked with dancers such as Lacey Schwimmer, Adrienne Caterna, Kayla Mak and Eureka. MIRANDA HANNON With 18 years of dance experience, Miranda is currently teaching ballet, technique, contemporary, jazz and strength and conditioning to young dancers in the NY/NJ area. Her extensive training has included 18 years of ballet, 15 years of jazz, 6 years of tap, 7 years of acro, 6 years of hip hop and 9 years of modern. She was a guest adjudicator and solo performer at World of Dance, featured choreographer for Project CREATE festival in Brooklyn and is co-director of Art of Movement Collective touring nationwide. Miranda was a BFA dance major at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and BFA Dance Major with a concentration in Jazz and Contemporary at the Joffrey Ballet School.

Director of Moving Artist Dance Company in Miami, Florida, Natalia has extensive training in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Acro and Modern as well as additional training in Tap and Ballroom. She danced competitively starting at age 9 and for the past 11 years, she has taught and trained dancers of all levels, ages 3-18. Her professional experience includes working as the choreographer for rap artists Lil Pump and Ignorant O and teaching/choreographing for studios in Miami Dade and Broward Counties. In addition to her training above, Natalia is certified in PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique)

RAMITA RAVI is a professional dancer, choreographer, and educator. A former competitive dancer and a former National Miss Headliner, Ramita graduated from UPenn and is currently signed with Bloc Talent Agency NY/LA. Her performance career spans TV/Film/Theater. She was the first South Asian to be featured on So You Think You Can Dance (Season 14) and has been seen in Spinning Gold with Jeremy Jordan & Wiz Khalifa, HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, New York Fashion Week with Hermès, TNT’s “I Am The Night” Premier, Viceland, NOWThis, Lincoln Center, ClassPass Live, “Aida” (Engeman Theater), and Mystic India: The World Tour. She originated the role of Shilpa and was Dance Captain of the Broadway-bound musical Bhangin’ It at La Jolla Playhouse. She has choreographed for Coachella 2022, Miss America 2021, Raveena (Lucid Tour, Asha’s Awakening Tour, NPR’s Tiny Desk, Music Videos), KSHMR (US Tour) DanceOn, Lincoln Center, Capezio and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She has taught at Broadway Dance Center, Alvin Ailey Extension, Columbia University, and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. She co-founded Project Convergence – company in residence at the American Tap Dance Foundation, as well as Artswrk – the professional network for artists and creatives.

With students currently starring on Broadway and the Metropolitan Opera stages and in movies such Stephen Spielberg’s production of WEST SIDE STORY, Rolann has decades of experience training young dancers, actors, and vocalists. Her vast knowledge of music theater and dance earned her the appointment by President Bill Clinton to the Distinguished Teachers’ White House Commission on Presidential Scholars and was honored to be a part of the American Passport for PBS, as a featured Floridian. A former professional dancer, Rolann was the childhood partner of Michael Bennett. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Juilliard School and continued her dance studies with many original masters including Matt Mattox, Peter Gennaro, and Paul Draper. Her choreography and staging have been seen from Walt Disney World, serving as the WDW’s College Program Dance Director, to stages in Germany and Austria. For over fifteen years, Rolann served as the Chair of the International Dance Organization’s Tap Committee. Until recently, Rolann owned and operated her own dance studio and is now working with the Orlando Ballet and other dance organizations in Central Florida.

A graduate of Dean College with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Raylin has grown up in the dance world her entire life. Her mother, Kathy, owned a studio where she was trained in all dance forms including release technique, Horton, Graham, Acro and as well as Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop. Her teaching experience includes master classes for National Competitions and with studios in the New England area. Performances include Kinetic Synergy Dance Company, ensemble of regional theater and as an on field performer at Gillette Stadium for the NFL Kickoff. Her choreography has been performed at the Little Theater of Fall River (“Jesus Christ Superstar”), the Dean College Main Stage (“In the Heights”) and at Arts Mosaic. Raylin had a great experience having grown up on the Headliners stage and is grateful now to be able to come back at the professional level.

Samantha DiRienzo was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and began competitively dancing at the age of 6. She attended Dean College where she graduated Cum Laude and received her BFA in dance with a choreography concentration. During her time at Dean, she choreographed and performed numerous pieces of varying styles. She was also a member of multiple dance teams including The Collective (2020-2022), Pom Team (2019-2020), as well as President of the college’s Hip Hop team, Synergy. During her breaks from school Samantha spent her time teaching and choreographing for local studios, working with children of all ages, levels, and in various styles. Upon her graduation, Samantha received her first professional contract just days later. She got to work right away, signing with RWS Entertainment group as a performer at Hershey Park. After her contract ended, Samantha moved back home to continue teaching and choreographing full time. Since then she has not only been working with local studios but also Femmes & Follies Burlesque, as well and teaching and judging for nationally recognized dance competitions and conventions.

SHERYL GUERRERO trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern and tap and continued her training graduating Cum Laude, with a BFA in Dance, from Wright State University, whose programs are affiliated with the Dayton Ballet School and the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. She was the youngest member accepted to the Northern Ballet Theatre Dance in New Hampshire, where she trained and performed with the company under the direction of Doreen Cafarella. She was also accepted to the prestigious Burklyn Ballet Theatre in Vermont, where she extensively trained with Angela Whitehill, David Howard, Arthur Leeth and many other leading ballet professionals. Professional Performance Credits include The Nutcracker (Clara), Sleeping Beauty (Energy Fairy), Don Q, La Bayadère, Nine, Into the Woods, Cabaret, and Beauty and The Beast. Sheryl has performed throughout the country in many venues including the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center in Dayton, Ohio and Carnegie Hall in New York City. In 2012 she opened her dance studio, Ocean Dance Force. Choreography credits include The Wizard of Oz, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Grease Jr. and Bye Bye Birdie as well as many award-winning concert pieces.

SIDNEY KLOCK began her dance journey at the age of 7, training in a variety of styles. During her competition dance years, she was fortunate to work with many well renowned choreographers including Travis Wall, Mark Meismer and Andrew Winghart. She performed in the 2018 Capezio Ace Awards and was a company member of Royal Flux 2.0. After graduating high school, she began her teaching career specializing in Jazz, Jazz Technique and Contemporary. She was on the teaching staff of Diego based dance studios and the assistant coach of the Rancho Bernardo High School dance team. Currently, Sidney is enrolled at the CLI Conservatory in Massachusetts under the direction of Teddy Forance.

Sierra has extensive training in the major forms of dance: Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. She has also received many years of training in Acro, Belly Dancing, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theater and Conditioning. While a student at Western Michigan University, where she received a BS Degree in Exercise Science and A Minor in Dance, Sierra received additional training in social dance (Waltz, Foxtrot, etc) as well as Voguing and was the captain of the University dance team competing at numerous collegiate programs and competitions. She has certifications in Aerial Hoop Arts, CPR and Acrobatic Arts. She was a member of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, a dancer for singer Rick Springfield, and a featured dancer at the Orange Bowl Halftime show featuring the Goo Goo Dolls. Sierra’s teaching experience includes all levels from ages 2 to Seniors. In 2021 and 2022 she received two awards for her choreography at the Industry Dance Awards.

Thomas is a well-rounded dancer and choreographer based in Virginia. His training encompasses a wide variety of dance forms including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Musical Theater. He has taught and choreographed classes, intensives, solos, and company dances for all genres of dance in the studio setting to students ranging in ages 3–18 years of age. Performance credits include being the first ever male member of the Georgia Tech Goldrush, the official dance team of Georgia Tech athletics, where Thomas led and performed pom, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and lyrical genres at local, regional and national venues and events. Thomas has choreographed for studios all across the USA which have earned overall accolades, as well as Best Choreography awards. Prior to moving to Virginia, he taught hip hop at New Mexico Ballet Company, was Coach and choreographer for Albuquerque Dance Collaborative competitive dance team, Head Coach for Saint Pius X High School Dance Team, a.k.a. the Dorados, Lead Coach for the Citizen Church’s Fine Arts Program and was Choreographer / Head Coach for the Urban Troupe Dance Team (Hip Hop); 2017 – 2021. In addition to his dance credits, Thomas holds a BS degree in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Global Development from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
